How to import goods with Limu Trade Agency

Stage 1: Product Sourcing
Our team assists in selecting products that offer the best balance of price and quality, guiding you in making informed choices.
Once you've selected your products, we provide you with a detailed order form and an accompanying invoice for your financial planning and records.
After you successfully process your payment with a method of your choosing, we initiate the procurement of your selected products and confirm the transaction.
Your products are received at our warehouse or a cargo forwarding partner's facility in the country of interest (eg China), and we provide a confirmation with the shipment name for tracking purposes.

Stage 2: Shipment Departure and Tracking
As part of our comprehensive onboarding process, our client relations team will reach out to you when your shipment departs from the country of interest (eg China).
You can track your shipment in real-time using our online shipment calendar platform

Stage 3: Customs and Finance
When the shipment is in transit, we will request the cargo invoice necessary for the customs clearance process.
Upon the arrival of your shipment at Kamuzu International Airport or Beira, our finance department will inform you about the associated costs.
For Sea Shipments
- At Dedza Border, the initial customs clearance process typically takes 2 to 4 working days, and you will be kept informed throughout this period.
- The final customs clearance takes place at Lilongwe inland port. This process involves inspection and processing of your cargo, taking 2 to 5 working days. Our dedicated customs and logistics team will provide you with continuous updates.
- Your cargo is then transported to our warehouse in area 36 for final processing.
For Air shipments:
- At airport, the overall customs clearance process takes on overall 2 working days max
- Your cargo is transported to the limu offices in Area 18 A for final processing.

Stage 4: Dispatch and Collection
As soon as your cargo is ready for collection and dispatch, we will promptly notify you and provide detailed instructions for both the collection and dispatch process.
